Name: Ryan Fitzgerald
Date of Birth: 02/02/1989
Lives: London, UK
Studying: English Literature
Scholarly Interests: Post-Modernism, Post-Structuralism, Post-Postism
Hobbies: Reading (sporadically), writing (vigorously), sleeping (soundly), dancing (badly)
Favourite Book: The Alchemist, Paulo Cohelo
Favourite TV Shows: Firefly. No doubts. Just do me a favour and watch it already.
Writes: Pretty much everything!
Well, I'm Ryan, and I love to write. I want to become a published author one day, so my fingers are crossed that you like what you read here! I tend to write darkly, though in reality I'm an easy-going guy, and I am trying to let that side of me get into my writing more. A tutor and good friend, Jonathan Brockbank, described my poetry as falling into either "visionary, descriptive or intellectual" modes, so that might give you some idea of what my poetry is like.
At the moment, Pigeons Are The Key is soaking up most of my literary energy, probably because we've all just had essays to hand in and writing something with a streak of humour is a great way to wind down. PATK isn't just shoddily dashed off in an hour, its still a serious venture, but it is parody, so don't be surprised when the plot's thickening turns out to involve potatoes ;)
NOTE: I upload all of my writing as PDFs, so you will need a PDF reader to view the high quality and prettier versions. I highly recommend Foxit PDF Reader as it is a small file size and free to use. A lot of my work is also available to view online. Just follow whichever link tickles your fancy most.
